An Intro to Windows 7 Media Center

Almost everyone knows that a computer, laptop, net book, and even a smart phone will not operate without  an operating system. The operating system is undoubtedly the most important software in a computer. Without it, there will be no input and output that can be processed. Back in the day, operating systems cannot allocate too much data. Doing this can crash the system and even damage the computer. As more powerful sets of hardware are being produced, the operating systems were upgraded as well. They can now do high-level computations that placed the computers into a whole new level.             Because of the increase in the performance of these operating systems, your choices are broader than before. One of the most popular manufacturers is Windows, who has established its reputation in creating user-friendly operating systems that can be used in home or business settings. The latest of version of the Windows operating system is Windows 7, following the Windows Vista. It comes with different versions, but the most popular ones are the windows 7 starter, windows home, and windows ultimate. These versions have different features that can be used in different settings.             First in the list is the windows 7 starter. This operating system can be seen on most net books and entry level PC's. The windows 7 starter contains the fewest features when pitted against the other versions of Windows 7. This operating system does not have a 64-bit version, XP mode, and its theme cannot be changed. The limited features of the windows 7 starter make it a poor operating system if your machine has high-end specifications. If you are not satisfied with this operating system, you can use the Windows Anytime Upgrade and purchase a different version of Windows 7.             Windows 7 Home Edition is the version that you would most likely see on household computers and laptops. Unlike the windows 7 starter, this version of windows allows the use of all of the features that can be seen in Windows 7. You can customize the appearance of your desktop, use XP mode to run programs that are compatible with windows XP, and you can even opt to use a 64-bit version if your RAM is higher than 4GB.             Lastly, there is the Windows 7 Ultimate, which is the most powerful operating system in the Windows 7 family. The limitations that can be found on the windows 7 starter and the windows home edition are gone in this operating system. This has made this operating system useful for a wide range of activities such as business, hardcore gaming, and other applications that demand a lot of memory and speed.             Aside from the windows 7 starter, home edition, and ultimate, there are other editions existent but they are not popular. When you shop in the market for these operating systems, you will most likely see these versions. With the features differentiated from one another, you can now decide what operating system will most likely fit your computer to fully maximize its potential. http://windows7starter.org/windows-7-starter-wide-array-of-options/
